Congratulations to Senior Captain Goalkeeper, Ayla Boyunegmez!

Today we celebrate 500 saves - a milestone that represents far more than a number.

It represents Ayla's unwavering commitment to excellence, her leadership between the posts, and the grit and perseverance that define her as both a goalkeeper and a person. Through the ups and downs of every season, the celebrations and the tears, Ayla has shown up with focus, dedication, and a commanding determination that teammates, opponents and spectators have come to recognize and respect.

But this accomplishment belongs to someone else too.

We want to recognize Ayla's goalie coach, Mike Miguelez, who saw something in her long before anyone else did - who believed in her potential when the path wasn't clear, who persisted in training her for this position even when doubts were raised (mostly....ok, exclusively from her Mother Jenn), and who remained steadfast through every mood, challenge, and moment of growth. Your vision, patience, and investment in Ayla created the foundation for everything she's become as a goalkeeper. The focus, form, and ability that others now see in her—that began with you.  Thank you for believing. Thank you for persisting. Thank you for being part of this journey.
