Transportation Update 24/25

Dear Millville Families,

Greetings!  As the new school year unfolds, the Millville Area School District is sharing guidelines for district-provided transportation with our Quaker families in order to maintain shared expectations and to maintain the highest degree of safety for ALL students

Please be cognizant that the MASD will provide district students with transportation to and from their designated residence to and from their respective school.  Additionally, the MASD will provide students with transportation to alternative locations that specifically correspond with custodial and/or permanent/consistent child care arrangements (Daycare Programs, etc.).  It is critical for families to provide the district with updated custodial documentation and transportation plans so that permanent and consistent arrangements can be situated on their behalf.

Please be cognizant that the district will NOT permit students to be transported on district-provided transportation to alternate locations based upon parental requests/notes that deviate from their permanent transportation assignment.  In the event that a student attempts to board a bus other than his/her assigned bus, the student will be denied access and referred to administration.

If an emergency situation arises that necessitates an alternate transportation arrangement, parents or guardians shall contact the school principal directly to discuss any or all changes to their student's transportation plan. Please be cognizant that the district nor the bus operators will NOT allow students to access and ride buses when provided with parental notes. In an extraordinary situation, only the principal may execute a bus pass that affords a student with permission to access alternate transportation other than their assigned bus. Requests to transport students on alternate buses to participate in non-district activities after school will be summarily denied.

In the event that parents/guardians need to situate or update transportation arrangements/changes to their child's permanent transportation assignment, they should contact the Transportation Coordinator at 570-458-5538 X 3237.

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly APPRECIATED...

Stronger TOGETHER...Quaker STRONG!
