Dear Millville Area School District Families,

We are writing to inform you of an important update to how students in grades 7-12 will access the Sapphire Student Information System (SIS) and other district digital resources.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance data security and improve the user experience, the District will be transitioning student access to Google Single Sign-On (SSO). This update will replace the current login method that utilizes student ID/lunch numbers.

What This Means for Your Student:

  • Students will log into Sapphire and other district systems using their school-issued Google account credentials. Once your student is logged into their device, the Google account is already recognized, and students will only need to click the “Log-in With Google” button. They will not have to enter any credentials into a login screen.
  • Students will no longer use their lunch number or previous login format to access Sapphire.
  • This change creates a more secure login process and reduces the number of usernames and passwords students need to remember.

Timeline:

  • This transition will be in effect tomorrow, April 30, 2026.

What Families Need to Do:

  • No immediate action is required from families.
  • Please remind your student to keep their Google login information secure and not share their password with others.

Support:

We assure you that in the event your child has any difficulty, the instructional team and/or district technology team will be there to assist.

We appreciate your partnership as we continue to strengthen the security of our systems and improve access for students.

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph R. Rasmus, Ed.D.

Superintendent of Schools

Millville Area School District
